Tri-rated cable is single core, PVC insulated cable that meets the the national standards for the UK (BS), USA (UL) and Canada (CSA).
British Standard - BS 6231 - Electric cables. Single-core PVC insulated flexible cables of rated voltage 600/1000 V for switchgear and control gear wiring.
USA - UL 758 - UL Standard for Safety for Appliance Wiring Material.
Canada - CSA C22.2 No 127 - Standard for Equipment and lead wires.
